Pakistan Cricket News (PCB) have approved the UAE as venue of Pakistan Super League for Next Year. According to details PCB’s Governing Body meeting was held at PCB Headquarter in which PCB approved the UAE as the venue of Pakistan Super League (PSL) will held in February 2016. A private company has been given the responsibility of holding Pakistan Super League.
Pakistan Super League was announced in 2008 officially by PCB and the league was planned to begin in September 2009 however, due to domestic security concerns the plans were shelved. On 10 January 2013, the Pakistan Super League logo was officially unveiled to the public in an event organized by the PCB in Lahore. Top Pakistan cricketers including the PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf and former ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgatwere among those who attended the event. 2014 was the relaunching year of PSL in which PCB invites the players from other countries to be a part of league but unfortunately it was postponed again, and now PCB re-announced the league and planned to start in UAE.
